My name is Beth. And this is my little one...

Today we are 23 days away from our little bundle's due date and I'm clearly feeling the anticipation, what with counting the days and all.
... (yes, the man with the ax) were married nearly two years ago and have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first bebe girl for nearly a full 9 months. And let me tell you, I am feeling it. But I will spare you the details of my nearly lapsed pregnancy, and from here on out will attempt to mark the events to come.
I'd like to have something to look back on and share with my kiddos for the times they grow and and want to remember their childhood. Plus I'm horrible at scrapbooking, so maybe this will help. We'll see. Again I ask, don't judge my follow through...it's my intent that counts.
Our life is simple here in Central Missouri. We have a small rental house that sits on 3 acres, a lovely garden
Unfortunately, I don't get to keep Pete and George as they belong to our landlord, but in the meantime I will talk to them and we will be friends. We had a Kitty but she fled when we introduced a new kitten to her and we haven't seen her in a week. I'm still hoping she'll return. Plus, Batty (the new kitten) hitched a ride on my brother's truck and went down the road only to tumble out a mile or so down...we think she's still alive...maybe. But seeing as how she wouldn't leave the garage I'm not banking on her finding her way back to us. (When did my life become about pets?)
The simple life...ah yes. Back to what I was saying. My husband and I both worked full time jobs in IL and upon moving down decided that he would be the sole provider and I would hone my skills as housewife. Since then I've tried my hand at soap making (pregnancy stopped me there, the smell was more than I could handle), baking bread (after two attempts, I gave up. I am a complete under achiever), and other various home made ventures, largely due to my Pinterest boards. But as far as being a housewife, I've finally come to grasp the concept of keeping up with laundry and keeping my dishes washed...so I'd say I've come a long way. I've also enjoyed sewing a few things for our impending bebe.
But mostly, we live a quiet life in the country next door to my brother and his family. We live a kind of community lifestyle with them sharing meals and rides to town. The Lord has blessed us with our portion each day to live and although that is often times hard, we are learning to expect in Him for our daily needs. Today our needs are met, Praise the Lord. And they will be tomorrow as well, although I have no idea how He will do it.
That's mostly it: we garden, play with our nieces and nephews, work when it's here, and do our best to glorify the Lord in our lives through relationships with others and our own growth in Jesus as our vine.
But stay tuned...we've got some ideas to turn our life upside down.
In a good way.
